What’s with the Purple?

Purple People Meet-er

Real talk … it’s my favorite color. But more than that: Purple (unlike all the other colors in the rainbow) only exists in your mind. There is NO wavelength on the light spectrum that is purple. Sorry Pink Floyd. Instead of mixing paint, our brain notices blue and notices red and then makes up purple ~ happy little accident.

What does this have to do with therapy? A lot of what we deal with in our lives and work through in sessions … only exists in our minds.

If we’re willing to notice some red in our lives (Red -> Heart -> Emotions/Thoughts) and notice some blue in our lives (Blue -> Soul -> Wisdom/Intuition) then something else entirely gets made in the process.

Positively:

adverb

with certainty; absolutely: “Be curious, not judgmental,” is positively good advice.

interjection

(used to express strong affirmation) yes: Do you plan to start therapy? Positively!.

Say YES with CERTAINTY that you want to pursue mental health and fulfilling life.
