How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or simply wanting to understand yourself better. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people come to counseling during periods of transition, stress, or when something just doesn’t feel quite right.
If you’re unsure, a free consultation is a good way to explore whether therapy, and working together ~ feels like a good fit.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and any questions or concerns you may have. I’ll also explain how I work and what therapy with me typically looks like.
There’s no pressure to share everything at once ~ we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. I offer a free 15-minute consultation by secure video. This is a brief, no-obligation conversation where you can ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and decide whether my approach feels like a good fit for you.
If we decide to move forward, we’ll talk about next steps for scheduling.
Do you accept insurance?
I work with insurance through Alma. Coverage and benefits can vary depending on your specific plan, so Alma helps verify eligibility and handle billing.
If you have questions about coverage, I’m happy to help guide you through the process or refer you to Alma’s support resources.
Is Therapy Confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is a core part of therapy. What you share in sessions is kept private, with a few legal and ethical exceptions (such as concerns about safety). I’ll review confidentiality and its limits clearly during our first session so you know exactly what to expect.
